Bollywood Star Govinda Injured in Accidental Shooting at Home

In a shocking incident early this morning, Bollywood actor and former Member of Parliament Govinda sustained injuries from an accidental shooting while cleaning his licensed revolver at his Juhu residence. The mishap occurred around 4 AM, just as the actor was preparing to leave for an event in Kolkata.

According to the Juhu Police, the firearm reportedly slipped from Govinda’s hands and discharged upon impact, resulting in a bullet grazing his leg below the knee. He was quickly rushed to CritiCare Asia Hospital in Andheri West for treatment. Hospital sources later confirmed that he is out of danger but will remain hospitalized for further care.

The Juhu Police have initiated an investigation and registered an incident report. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 9) Dixit Gedam remarked, “Prima facie, the incident appears to be accidental.” Authorities are set to gather statements from eyewitnesses and from Govinda himself once medical professionals deem it appropriate.
